ABOUT TIM WILLIAMS This is the reason kickers and punters from across the country make the trip to Southwest Ohio to learn from TimWilliams. This is his story. At Waynesville (Ohio) High School, TimWilliams set the record for the longest field goal in the state of Ohio: a 57 yarder on Oct. 14, 1988. Three years earlier Tim kicked the first field goal in Waynesville history.
After high school Tim attended The Ohio State
University on a full football scholarship. As a four year starting place
kicker (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993) and a starting punter in 1991 and 1993,
Tim earned 1st Team All Big Ten honors in 1993. At that time Tim
held the Ohio State records for career field goals (49) along with two that are still in tact today. His career P.A.T. percentage (99%) and
consecutive P.A.T.'s (86) are marks still standing. Tim was also selected to The Ohio State All Century Football Team.
After his college days Tim spent two years
bounced around the NFL making stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also played a year with the
Dayton Skyhawks of the IFL (Indoor Football League) in 2000 as there
kicker and was the kicker and backup quarterback for the Ohio Valley
Greyhounds of the NIFL (National Indoor Football League) in 2001. From there Tim worked three years for the
Detroit Fury of the AFL (Arena Football League). He served as their
Program Coordinator from 2001-2004.
Over the years Tim had stayed connected to
training kickers and punters by working as part of the Ray Guy Kicking
Academy / Prokicker.com staff (1997-2005). As one of their top
instructors, he traveled all over the country from Oregon to Orlando,
and New Orleans to Detroit training kickers and punters. Tim
became very good at seeing the strengths in every kicker and punter and
attacking their weaknesses with fundamentals. His style and personality
allows him the ability to train kickers and punters at all levels.
Tim's biggest testament to his work is the success his players experience.
In recent years Tim and his Up And Through staff
have played a huge roll in several University's kicking camps. Schools
he has been affiliated with include his alma mater The Ohio State
University, the University of Illinois, Ohio University, Bowling Green
State University, Vanderbilt University and many more. He serves as a
consultant to schools all over the country with topics ranging from
training all the way down to the recruitment of kickers and punters.
Tim's students truly believe in his teaching
methods because of their proven results. His clients travel from all
parts of the country to train with him. Tim's greatest asset is his ability to give the individual attention required to achieve near perfection. His philosophy not only encompasses the physical aspect of kicking and
punting, but most importantly, the psychological thought process
required to be successful.
"Having been there and played at a big time program such as Ohio State, I
know the physical and mental attributes it takes to be successful. We
are all different shapes and sizes. With that said, I teach to the
individual getting all body parts working together to create a
successful situation for him or her. I have the confidence to help
anyone at all levels!" ~ Tim Williams
